Who loves to feel good?? Who loves to get a restorative night of sleep?? Who loves to heal quicker from just about any ailment?? Let me tell you a bit about Reiki…

“About what?” Some of you may say. “Oh my gosh I absolutely love Reiki!!” The other half might say. Let me first address the newbies. Reiki is a form of alternative medicine considered to be energy healing. Through hands-on healing, a universal energy is transferred through the palms of the practitioner to the client in order to encourage emotional and/or physical healing. Or… put it more simply…AAAHHHHHH!!!!! And that ain’t all! One of the greatest healing health benefits of Reiki is stress reduction and relaxation (and really who doesn’t need more of that, right??), which triggers the body’s natural healing abilities, i.e. your immune system. Just imagine…super powers against germs!! What more do you need?

And to all my Reiki junkies---can we not all attest to the above? Sore shoulders, swollen sinuses, hip pain, knee pain, emotional trauma, even bad breath (just trust me) out the door! Not to mention, ME TIME!! A whole hour (or longer upon request) just for you. To lay there. In comfy clothes. In quiet surroundings. While eating chocolate cake. Ok…just seeing if your paying attention on that one.

Still not sure? Stop in to chat with our Reiki masters. Katie has been administering Reiki here in the salon for several years and has accumulated quite the following who praise her skills. Jessica has been here with us for about a year and continues her journey in bringing healing to all her see her. Just imagine teaching your body to heal itself….kinda sounds worth it to me. But I am biased. Come see for yourself.

No one has ever accused me of being trendy. I rarely try new recipes, or venture to unchartered heights; I still wear sweatpants I purchased in my 20's. So imagine my surprise to learn an ancient skin
